New York’s “No Wage Theft Loophole Act”

On August 20, 2021, New York’s “No Wage Theft Loophole Act” was signed into law.  This long-awaited legislation was meant to clarify that under New York's Labor Law, the State completely and without exception prohibits lack of distribution of earned wages and there is no exception to liability for employers who violate the law.
